Microsoft is testing a new change to its future version of Windows 10 which will probably annoy anyone using the operating system. The software giant revealed today that “we will begin testing a change where links clicked on within the Windows Mail app will open in Microsoft Edge.” The change means if you have Chrome or Firefox set as your default browser in Windows 10, Microsoft will simply ignore that and force you into Edge when you click a link within the Mail app.

@tuxicoman I just set up 10 pc's with win10 on them. When you set the default apps like thunderbird, irfanview, vlc... Changing MS Edge to Firefox is the only app that whines and snivels for you to at least give it a try first.
And the hoops one has to jump through to get win10 down to Warp Speed Invasiveness from Ludicrous Speed Invasiveness is insane.
And I don't know how often the control panel has crashed on me.

@tuxicoman That's an antitrust lawsuit waiting to happen. 😐

@Jo maybe, maybe not.

What about Google Apps preinstalled on Android or requirement for a Google account to use the phone ?

@Jo @tuxicoman Seriously! Doesn't this violate the terms of their, uh, parole?

@tuxicoman @sireebob So basically what Google did for their apps on Android a couple years ago.

Every one of them forces into custom Chrome tabs regardless of whether you have another browser set.

You actually have to DISABLE Chrome if you want to use another browser for that stuff.
